The mission style Southern Pacific train station at one time saw a lot of passenger traffic - the SP Daylight came through Modesto twice a day. This is a wonderful postcard of the station, with a bus from the Hotel Hughson waiting for passengers. The station still exists and is a centerpiece for the transportation hub - with Greyhound and city buses headquartered here. No more passenger trains come through Modesto. | ||
